The Perfect Winter Wedding Spot
My now-husband and I worked with Rikki to plan a winter wedding. We absolutely fell in love with the venue during our tours of the Vintage Hotels properties and were very excited to book a date with them.
From the very beginning, our experience has been amazing! From the attention to detail of asking whether we wanted to book a getting ready room to the bridal party, to booking hotel rooms for our guests, to even booking a beautiful post-wedding brunch. This brief weekend (it goes by so fast!) has been over a year and a half of planning, and Rikki and the team took it in stride and were amazingly attentive before and on the day of.
Our ceremony and cocktail hour were in the Atrium and the reception in the Grand Georgian Ballroom. We received compliments all night about the location, the venue itself as a hotel, and the food (a very important part of a wedding)! The kitchen was paced incredibly and there was a lot of attention to detail towards guests with allergies and food sensitivities.
All in all, it was the most beautiful and well-organized wedding I ever could have asked for! Thank you so, so much Rikki and the team at Queen’s Landing xo
Dream Wedding – THANK YOU TIFFANY!
Our wedding at Queen’s Landing in June 2015 was simply perfect. I can’t thank Tiffany – our wedding coordinator enough. Happily recommend QL for any couples looking for a venue for their wedding. Venue – absolutely beautiful. My hubby and I looked at several places in Toronto and in Niagara on the lake and fell in love with QL when we saw the Grand Georgian ballroom there. Many places in the hotel to take beautiful photos of. I had regretted a few times that I was choosing a place in Niagara on the lake and making my guests travel from Toronto but on the day of the wedding, I felt absolutely it was the right choice. It was simply beautiful.
The ceremony was supposed to be outside at Miller House at the Pillar and Post but it rained. It didn’t even bother us at all, because Tiffany arranged it so that we could have an indoor wedding at the atrium at QL. It was beautiful regardless. I didn’t even care one bit for the rain. She also contacted all the vendors to notify them of the change in location on the day of. The food – AMAZING! So many people told us it was THE BEST WEDDING food they have ever had. Heck, one of the best meals! Think Scaramouche level good. This is the most important part of the wedding for us in terms of making sure our guests were happy. We had a 5 course meal in which 2 of the 5 courses were specially made at our request – it wasn’t in the typical list. The chef is absolutely amazing. We had a tasting which we weren’t perfectly happy with one of the courses which was a soup. Tiffany asked for our feedback and felt we weren’t completely happy, she arranged for a second tasting which she didn’t have to at all because we had already signed the contract. The second tasting she really listened to what we wanted. We were able to add a lobster course. We also served scallop appetizer instead of a soup. Honestly, this is top notch customer service. The chef and Tiffany really cared about our preference and delivered it above our expectations. The food was so delicious!!! Our friends and family were so full they couldn’t eat the late-night table. Service – the staff are all well trained and professional.
Two days before our wedding, we asked Tiffany to add a rehearsal dinner for half of the wedding, two breakfasts and a brunch. That’s a lot to arrange – she quickly arranged it for us. The non-wedding food were great too! Guests were happy. We are both busy professionals as so were thinking of hiring a wedding planner but QL made it really easy – we saved money on a wedding planner because Tiffany coordinated everything on the day of so that I didn’t have to worry. They also gave us a list of great vendors that we went with. I really liked Eda from Vineyard Sweets for our wedding cake, Cathy Martins for flowers, Judy as our officiant and the Glissandi trio for our ceremony music. Their recommendations were all great to work with too! Except simply beautiful for decor – they were good for decor but poor for communication. The rooms – guests liked their rooms. It wasn’t cheap but for the area it was a good price. We had a room that was free with the booking – it was huge. Our photographer who wasn’t on the recommended list because he is from Hamilton said typically rooms aren’t that big. They also gave us a separate bridal suite for the girls to get ready separately from the boys. That was a nice touch. For the rehearsal dinner – we had it in a private room and for the breakfasts as well. Tiffany was awesome!!! We were really busy with work and procrastinated a lot on the wedding stuff. She answered my many many emails that were last minute always promptly. She also updated the quotes many times because of our ever changing guests-list. She was always happy and pleasant. On the day of the wedding, she checked in with us many times to see if we were happy and if we needed anything. I can always call her to ask questions. I am so happy that we chose QL as our wedding venue. It was just not a venue, it was the staff that made it a perfect day for us and our guests.
We can’t thank Tiffany Sacco, the chef – Marc Lyons and their team enough for making our special day even more memorable. I can’t think of anything negative! Perfect venue, perfect service, perfect food. THANK YOU FOR OUR BEAUTIFUL WEDDING!!!
Absolutely Beautiful! Exceeded our expectations
My husband and I got married at Prince of Wales on 08/01/15 and we could not have been more pleased with the amazing customer service during the whole process. Everyone that we came across was so friendly and very accommodating. Everything exceeded our expectations, the hotel, the rooms, the food, the service! I want to thank Prince of Wales for making our wedding day everything that we imagined!
May 26, 2018 Wedding at the Queen’s Landing
My husband and I just got married and had our ceremony at the Pillar and Post and our reception at the Queen’s Landing. We–and a lot of our guests–stayed at the Queen’s Landing all weekend. The weekend was perfect. The weather cooperated (nothing to do with the hotel, but it did!), the Grand Georgian ballroom was gorgeous, the food was great and the staff was incredibly helpful, organized and friendly.
I want to give a huge shoutout to Rikki Green, the special events manager at Queen’s Landing. She made sure that everything ran smoothly and even ensured our tables were decorated exactly as we described (in fact, I think she’s a far better decorator than either of us!).
The rooms were beautiful and the festivities were incredible. We would highly recommend staying (and getting married at) the Queen’s Landing. We truly had a phenomenal experience.
Perfect wedding venue!
My husband and I were married at Queens Landing in March, and can not even begin to express how fantastic Queens Landing was! The venue itself is absolutely spectacular… we had our ceremony in the atrium, and you don’t even need decorations – it is so beautiful on its own with the intricate wood floors and lighting. From our check-in, to rehearsal dinner, to wedding morning, and all of the wedding festivities, the staff were completely on the ball and SO so helpful! We have received countless compliments on the day, and amazingly, no complaints! Everyone was blown away by the quality of the food, the beautiful location, the great guest rooms, and especially, you guessed it, the amazing staff! As a big plus, working with Tiffany was an absolute dream. She is patient, so knowledgeable, and more than willing to take it upon herself to make your dream come true. It was invaluable to have someone like that on our team during the planning and the day of! A special thanks as well to all of the staff involved, especially Tiffany, Jonathan, Sebastian, the front desk manager and staff, and Karen (who was absolutely stellar and made sure all of the food was perfect, and everyone had exactly what they needed- thank you!!). I could talk for days about these wonderful people and how special they are. Whether you are looking for an event venue, or just a weekend away, you won’t be disappointed. Walking distance to downtown Niagara on the Lake shops, beautiful accommodations, and views of the marina don’t get any better! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our day more perfect than we could have dreamed of!
Wedding day at The Pillar & Post
We celebrated our daughter’s wedding at The Pillar & Post Inn on September 12th and have to complement everyone at the Inn for their excellent service helping my daughter and son-in-law with all the pre-wedding planning. The front of house, housekeeping, reception and kitchen staff where outstanding on the wedding day helping to make the day perfect. In spite of rain that required relocating the wedding ceremony and the cocktail reception after, everything went smoothly because of the behind the scenes work of the Pillar & Post staff. The wedding dinner that evening for the 95 guests was spectacular, enhanced by the excellent wait staff setting and removing meal plates quickly and efficiently while being courteous all the time. A magic setting, great service and wonderful food helped to make the day one which my daughter, son-in-law, their family and friends will always remember with great fondness. The Pillar & Post Inn in Niagara-On-The-Lake is a wonderful place to have a wedding!
The Wedding of My Dreams!
There are not enough words to express how absolutely perfect our wedding day was. Everything went so smoothly and every detail was exactly as I had imagined. Rikki was amazing! She was so patient with all of my questions in the months leading up to the big day and made sure it was the day of our dreams! Our family and friends are still talking about how wonderful the wedding was and so many people have told us, “it was the best wedding they’ve ever been too!” As someone who has always been a worrier, it was so wonderful to be able to enjoy all of the love and excitement of the day without worry knowing Rikki had everything under control!
Our Wedding Reception
We had our wedding reception at Prince of Wales in September 2015. This hotel is absolutely breath taking. The history and glamour set the mood and the staff brings the experience to the next level. The food was fantastic, all of our guests raved about it too! Kaitlin and Lorraine helped us plan the wedding from the very beginning, offering the best guidance and helping us along the way. They really added the best touches to the overall experience. My husband and I highly recommend this venue for history and style and for the amazing people who work there.
Amazing Wedding Experience!
My husband and I got married here on November 10, 2018, and could not have been more thrilled about the entire experience. To start, the venue is breathtaking, I had so many guests comment on its beauty. The food was out of this world, all of the guests were extremely happy with the meal. I highly recommend the duo of steak and chicken. Rikki was amazing to work with, she put up with my hundreds of emails and was happy to help in any way that she possibly could. She really kept me calm throughout the entire planning process. She was a dream to work with. The rooms at the hotel were stunning and made for amazing photos. I would not have changed a thing about my entire day and I truly can’t thank the Queens staff enough for making my dreams a reality. If you are looking for a beautiful and smooth wedding experience, Vintage Hotels is the company to book with. Lastly, they were also very easy to work with for all of my other vendors. I will forever recommend this company!
Our wedding at Pillar and Post
We can’t really say enough positive things about our experience planning and having our wedding at Pillar and Post. From the very beginning, we were treated wonderfully – we worked with Katie Sams as our wedding planner but then transitioned to Kate Anderson when Katie went on maternity leave. Both of these coordinators were phenomenal, and I can’t really thank them enough for being so patient with our various requests, questions, and giving us honest and incredibly helpful advice to make our day exactly how we envisioned it. The staff, in general, were absolutely delightful to work with. They catered to our every request, and obviously enjoyed creating such an atmosphere of caring. I’m usually a person who can come up with a few constructive criticisms for service delivery, but it gives me great pleasure to be able to honestly say that Pillar and Post not only didn’t disappoint, but simply floored us with their unparalleled service. A wedding is something you put so much time, energy, emotions and care towards and you want your venue to support you throughout and enjoy the entire process. Pillar and Post did this for us, so to them we would like to say thank you! Thank you for making our day more spectacular than we could have ever imagined, and treating us so well. It went noticed by all of our guests, and we will always reflect on our day as simply perfect. And special thanks to you, Kate! What a pleasure it was to work with you!
The best wedding we’ve been to!
After losing our original wedding venue 6 weeks before the big day, we were lucky that Queen’s Landing had our wedding date available. Tiffany Sacco and her team are amazing! She planned our wedding with 4 weeks to go, and it was bar none the best wedding my husband and I have been to! Our ceremony was held at the Pillar and Post and Kate Anderson was awesome in making sure everything ran smoothly! And Tiffany, so much praise for this lady! She was so organized and very accommodating to our needs, we knew we were in good hands with her! We had so many guests come up to us and say that the food was amazing, the servers very pleasant, and their glasses were always filled! Queen’s Landing is a very beautiful and elegant venue, we could not have asked for a more perfect location for our wedding day. Thank you so much for making our special day a very memorable one!
Fall Wedding in the Georgian Ballroom
This October, we had our wedding at Queen’s Landing. Our ceremony was in the Imperial Ballroom and the cocktails were in the Atrium, followed by the dinner reception in Georgian Ballroom. With the help of Tiffany and her team, the wedding was absolutely flawless. She worked with all the vendors to ensure everything was decorated in time, and even referred the talented pianist Frank Krahn who played on the Grand Piano during our cocktail hour. I can’t get over how beautiful the hotel is as well as the grounds. From crystal chandeliers, and ornate wood flooring, and a magnificent entrance, as well as the view of the sailboats in the back. We also had our rehearsal dinner, and Sunday brunch at the venue. Both meals were amazing, and the brunch staff was very accommodating to our underestimated party size. I can’t thank Queen’s Landing and Tiffany enough for our wonderful wedding. It truly was a perfect day and I can’t wait to celebrate anniversaries at the hotel for years to come!
Unforgettable Wedding Experience
From the moment we got there to prepare for the wedding until the following day when we checked out, was an experience of a lifetime. We had gotten engaged at Queen’s Landing the previous year and had decided to have the wedding at that venue as well. It proved to be an excellent choice. The staff was extremely friendly and catered to our every need, which made our guests and ourselves feel very comfortable. The atrium was an unbelievable location for the ceremony, followed by the Grand Georgian Ballroom for the reception. Our coordinator Rikki was extraordinarily helping throughout the day and night ensuring everything went off without a hiccup. We can’t say enough things about Vintage and Queen’s Landing, it’d be too long a review! Food was some of the best we’ve ever had, service was great (ie. food and bar staff). We will likely be attending Queen’s Landing for at least our first year anniversary and most likely future anniversaries. Big thanks to everyone who made our special night just that.
