Hello Stephanie!!

I enjoyed reading this because I JUST got my dress! I did the same--searched around on websites, kept coming back to the same sort of styles/patterns. I had one in particular in my head but it was only carried in the states, so I didn't have high hopes for when I actually started. I ended up going to Marilee's in Fonthill and they're fantastic! I tried on a number of dresses and as it turned out, the first one I put on was 'the one'. It had similar features to what I found online and though it wasn't the same I was glad I didn't just rush it without having a look first!

I'm very happy with my dress. I would give the same advice as yourself: look online. A lot. E-mail the stores you're thinking of trying to see if they have the specific line or gown to avoid disappointment when you get there!

Take care :)

As Ted says, we've noticed the influence of the groom becoming more evident every year. The grooms are the ones picking out and ordering their neckties and accessories on line. They probably get the final approval from the bride, but they're having more input than they used to.

Hi Steph;
        As you know; I've been spinning discs at weddings a very long time and I too have witnessed an emergence of sorts, of grooms coming out of the closet so to speak. About 1/3 of my first contacts come from the groom. I've had excel spreadsheets of music requests originate from the groom.While they always defer to the boss (the bride), their influence on the reception preparation are becoming more evident every year.I can only speak for the musical part of the reception but many times every year, the only person I'll have contact with before and during the reception is the groom.
                                                    Ted Chamberlain,

Dear Stephanie:

     I am not sure who helped our daughter to arrange her wedding, but it was absolutely wonderful. The best thing she said was "It was more of a dream wedding than I ever imagined" What parent could ask for more?
      Nicole and Dean became Mr and Mrs. Davidson on May 28th, at the Pillar and Post. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding. The meal was excellent and we had nothing but compliments from everyone ( including some very hard to please guests). From child's meal to adults' everything was perfect.
       Thank you again for helping to make it a extra special day.
